2. Exercise– increase exercise at least 20 minutes per day to 4-6 times per week with different variations of exercise to stimulate the body like yoga, walking, aerobics, weight training, and hiking. Exercise increases seratonin to help balance mood.

3. Take a Breath- when you feel stressed, focusing on the breath is meditative and can help you to feel more relaxed. Try counting as you breathe, inhale for a count of 8 then exhale for 16. This can be done anywhere, at work, while driving or waiting in line.
4. Get a Tune-Up– This time of year can be stressful and your immune system may be low. Come for an acupuncture tune up.
5. Lavender- essential oil is great to help you sleep, calm the nerves and is great for headaches.

The Power of Cranberry – My Favorite Cranberry salsa

1 package of cranberries 8-12oz

2 medium jalapeno peppers diced                                                                                                                                                                             2 tbsp grated fresh ginger root

2 tbsp chopped cilantro
4 green onions- diced
2 tbsp lemon juice
1/2 cup sugar
1 package of cream cheese or goat’s cheese
In a food processor, mix unbruised cranberries until diced (not mushy) and put in a bowl. Add diced jalapenos, green onions, ginger, lemon and sugar. Refrigerate for 2 hours to let the ingredients meld together. You can pour the salsa over the cream cheese block and serve with crackers.
